Article: The Big Launch
The Big Launch
LAUNCHING MYJOUL
It has been a wild ride, but we did it – we launched Myjoul! From juggling roles to embracing the unknown, here’s is our journey and what we’ve learned along the way.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE HUSTLE
Who knew launching a jewellery brand meant becoming a jack-of-all-trades? From website wizardry to customer charm, we've done it all. Here’s the scoop:
- Multi-Tasking Mania: Designer, marketer, photographer, customer service rep – you name it, we’ve worn that hat. It's like running a one-person circus, and it’s as chaotic as it sounds!
- Creative Chaos: Think outside the jewellery box! Whether it’s coming up with funky designs or quirky marketing ideas, creativity is key.
- Calling in Favours: We’ve become pros at asking for help. Friends, family, and even friends of friends – everyone’s been roped in at some point.
BE COMFORTABLE IN THE UNCOMFORTABLE
Entrepreneurship is all about diving into the unknown. No regular paycheck, no problem! Well, maybe a bit of a problem, but here’s how we cope:
- Surviving Financial Rollercoasters: No steady income? No worries (okay, maybe a few worries). Budgeting and planning become your new best friends.
- Flexible Schedules: With a little one at home, flexibility is a must. Our workday might start at the crack of dawn or late at night – whenever we can squeeze in a moment.
- Mental Gymnastics: Dealing with uncertainty builds mental muscles. Celebrate the little wins, learn from the losses, and keep going!
WHAT WE HAVE LOVED MOST
Despite the chaos, there are plenty of things we adore about this journey.
- Starting a Business: The thrill of creating something from scratch is incomparable. Watching our brand grow and evolve is incredibly rewarding.
- People Connections: Meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends has been great.
- Learning New Things: Every day brings a new lesson. Whether it's mastering social media algorithms or understanding customer preferences, the learning never stops.
WHAT HAS BEEN CHALLENGING
Every adventure has its hiccups, and ours is no different.
- Balancing Act: Playing multiple roles can get overwhelming. It’s all about prioritizing and managing time like a pro (still working on that!).
- Money Matters: Keeping the cash flowing is a constant challenge. Strategic planning and a bit of financial wizardry are essential.
- Keeping the Spark Alive: Staying motivated during slow periods is tough. Focusing on long-term goals and celebrating small victories keeps us going.
- Sleepless Nights: Launching a business while having a new-born means dealing with constant sleep deprivation. Running on fumes becomes the norm, and coffee turns into your best friend.
EMBRACE THE ADVENTURE
Launching a jewellery brand has been a whirlwind of hustle, creativity, and a dash of chaos. It's all about diving into the unknown and finding joy in the journey. Yes, there are challenges, but the rewards and learnings are incredible and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Here's to more adventures, more memories, and more golden moments. Until next time!

Saw you mentioned Trinnie.
Love the story and love the style of your products.
I’m just an ordinary wife and Mum of two young adults so can’t justify buying any new earrings right now but I’ll certainly keep you in mind for the future.
Wishing you the very best in your new venture.
